BLS for Healthcare Providers (Classroom)

The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation.

For healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses, and respiratory therapists who must have a credential
(card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course. This would also include nursing students, EMT students and anyone that is interested in becoming a BLS Instructors.

BLS for Healthcare Providers (Online & Skills Test)

 

In this program, students complete the cognitive portion (Part 1) of BLS for Healthcare Providers training through a series of self-paced online modules. Students answer short multiple-choice questions within case-based scenarios, and receive feedback based on their answers, to proceed through 10 critical checkpoints. This course provides access to 21 optional review sections, including 17 videos from the BLS for Healthcare Providers video, which reinforce the adult, child and infant CPR sequences taught in the course.
 
This course is for healthcare providers seeking an initial or renewal BLS for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card. Part 1 can be completed in approximately 1-2 hours; time to complete a practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) varies.
 
Please note: Your online web key will be sent to you within 24 hours of course registration so long as it's done during normal business hours; Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00PM. Registrations recieved after business hours will be sent the next business day.

The BLS for Healthcare Providers Renewal Course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation.

For healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses, and respiratory therapists who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course. BLS for Healthcare Providers (Skills Test Only)

 

The BLS for Healthcare Providers Parts 2 and 3 require students to meet with an American Heart Association Instructor to complete a hands-on skills practice session and a skills test. Upon successful completion of all three parts students receive a course completion card valid for two years.

This course is for healthcare providers seeking an initial or renewal BLS for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card (Part 1 sold seperately).

Family & Friends CPR (Infant CPR)

The Family & Friends CPR program teaches how to perform CPR in adults, and childrenand how to help an adult, or child, who is choking.

 

Family members, friends and members of the general community who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card. This program also can be a non-credentialed option for middle- and high-school students

 

Heartsaver CPR/AED (Classroom)

The Heartsaver CPR Course teaches CPR, how to use a AED (Automatic External Defibullatior) and relief of choking in adults and children, children and infant as well as the  use of mouth barrier devices for all ages.

 

 

For those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements. This would include teachers, fitness trainers and coaches.

Heartsaver CPR & AED (Online & Skills Test)

 

Basic training in CPR & AED use.

This course teaches:

  1. Adult/child CPR with mask
  2. Adult/child choking
  3. Adult/child AED use
  4. Optional modules in infant CPR and choking

Duration: 2.5 hours online; 45 minute skills session at training center. Skills session included. Please call the training center at 310 281 2753 to schedule your skills session.

Heartsaver CPR/AED & First Aid (Classroom)

Heartsaver First Aid With CPR & AED is a classroom course that is designed to
meet OSHA requirements.  The course teaches basic first Aid, CPR, and AED skills such as:
• Helping someone with a possible broken bone or sprain
• Giving CPR to an infant, child, or an adult
• Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)


BLS for Healthcare Providers & First Aid (Online & Skills Session)

 

In this program, students complete the cognitive portion (Part 1) of BLS for Healthcare Providers training through a series of self-paced online modules. Students answer short multiple-choice questions within case-based scenarios, and receive feedback based on their answers, to proceed through 10 critical checkpoints. This course provides access to 21 optional review sections, including 17 videos from the BLS for Healthcare Providers video, which reinforce the adult, child and infant CPR sequences taught in the course.
 
 
Students are issued a web key which will grant them access to their own course work directly through the AHA website. The Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies. An AHA instructor will then come in for a personalized skills session to allow each student to demonstrate that they have mastered the skills to perform the skills set as required per the AHA guidelines.
